In Term 3, LH1 spent a lot of learning time looking at the habitats of animals. They had to select an animal and think carefully about what that animal needed to survive. The learners then had to choose a method to recreate this habitat out of Make It, Localise It, Digitize It or Draw It. Selestine chose to Make It. She exercised her curiosity by researching Polar Bear information and drafting a sketch of what she imagined her habitat would look like. Following this Selestine began making her habitat from cardboard, paper, paint, clay and other craft items found at school and home. Selestine presented her learning very confidently, showing that she was capable of tranferring her research to a practical platform of creating and making the habitat. As well as this, all of the Learning Coaches were impressed to see Selestine connect this learning even further to develop an iExplore project about Polar Bear conservation! Go Selestine!!
