Some of my posts tonight are actually old.  I accidentallly started new blogs rather than posts, so I've gone through and cut and paste them all onto my Selestine's blog, rather than having 10 different blogs going.

It was your typical Halloween night you were in your costume to you were about to go out the door when your mom told you to be back in time for dinner you start to head out side just then the door slammed you started to walk down the street it was just then when they started to walk up the 1st block a man came out of now we're dressed as your worst nightmare he offered more candy that would last you a year you saw all of your favourite sweets what would you choose.

My new Window

On the weekend me and my family had a early Christmas and I had seven deserts I had candy cane fudge, black forest fudge, cookie , cookie fudge, and this bread it was caramel bread. For brunch we had wife saver and its called that because you make it the night before and it is so yum. The best part the present I got some cute overalls jean skirt a top a dress and pants. Then I got a computer I pad case  then I got my brand new window computer and I played with it for the whole day and theirs my news done.

Me & Kea

So this is a little bit weird for me.  I am in the kiwis group, but I took Kea home this weekend because no one from the Kea's took Kea home. This story  that I am going to share with you is made up. And I advise you not to do any of these tricks at your house.

#1 First we had breakfast upside down.  It spilled all over us. We then went skateboarding

#2 We nearly broke our skulls doing this trick.  We've never gone down in the bowl.  But then, right at that very moment, this big teen jerk pushed us into the dip.  We did the most dangerous trick of our lives. We went sideways.  We went upwards. We flipped through the air!

#3 We wanted to do the trick again.  But, instead we went rock climbing.  So, we went rock climbing at the nearest mountain.  We started to climb.  But then I slipped and nearly fell 100 miles down.  Just then Kea swooped up in the air and caught me. Man, good thing he's a strong flyer!

#4 Next minute we were back at home near the sizzling BBQ.  We found some meat in the fridge and started to cook up a mean Barby.  It was so warm.  Then a spark got too close to the gas bottle. And we nearly exploded.  Next minute, our whole house burst into flames! 

Then we decided to go to Kea's house.  One step inside his house and I could see it was an absolute birdsty!!!  We started to tidy up.  But then we saw Kea's underpants!!  It stunk terribly! 

We ran outside of the house and we set up camp. It was too stinky to sleep in Kea's house.  It was a blast.  Then we ran into a couple of bears . . . and a wizard . . .  and a couple of fairies.  And after that we went to his house finally.  It seemed magical.  Everything was gone, the hats, the moldy apple, the fuzzy thing with the thing, and even the underpants were gone. Then we finally crashed out eating sausages.

Toby Alone

So i am reading this book called Toby alone to i am just going to tell you what its about. 

Running from branch to branch exhausted , his feet bleeding Toby atones is being hunted down  by his people and his best friend 
will the one and a half millimeter Toby alone make it in this harsh Oak tree will he survive.

My I Explore

Wednesday 17th November 

The 1st OPS paddle boarding trip.

As part of my iExplore learning, I have planned a ‘Paddle boarding’ trip for 8 learners. Your child is invited to an afternoon of learning and fun!  We require 1 of the parents / guardians to help with transport and supervise our adventure. A learning coach will also be joining us.

What you need to know…

First in first served so get in quick!

We  will eat when we get there.

Cost:

$15 (to be paid to Mrs Doige in the school office ASAP.

What you get:

Fun, 1.5 hours of paddle boarding instruction and more fun! you need to bring snack hat, togs (life jacket if provided at home ) WATER BOTTLE

Thursday 3 December

Where:

Mission Bay.

Why:

To teach learners a new water sport, to help with swimming capability...and have a good old swim!

Karis, Selestine, Kavisha & Jahnavi's Antarctica Learning Story

Learning Observed and Vision Principles

The learners in LH1 were given the opportunity to opt into a Virtual Field Trip to Antarctica. Kavisha, Karis, Jahnavi and Selestine all chose to participate in this via the education providers LEARNZ. The sessions were run either once or twice daily for five consecutive school days and learners connected using audio conferences, chats, Twitter and video diaries. These four girls were highly engaged and demonstrated insatiable curiosity throughout. They took all opportunities to record their questions while listening to the audio conferences. As well as this, they questioned the questions that learners from other schools had provided! After the formal sections of the audio conferences, we were able to use an instant chat feature to ask our own questions. Each of these four girls chose thoughtful and sensible questions to communicate to the scientists and researchers who were speaking directly from Antarctica. One of their final tasks was to collaboratively create a Kahoot quiz to share with one of the LH1 Hapu Groups about their Antarctica learning.
